Coaching Legend Stirs Crowd

Castle Rock, CO

Coaching legend Sonny Lubick roused a sell-out crowd on Friday evening in Castle Rock, CO.  The Colorado Sports Hall of Famer and 1994 Sports Illustrated Coach of the Year, offered words of wisdom and encouragement to players, coaches and fans of CV Football.

“It was a great moment for our program”, stated Charles Oster, president of the Castle View Gridiron Club.  “It was a real honor to have Coach Lubick speak to us”.

With 9 Bowl appearances, Lubick is a Colorado hero and will have his name on the new $220 million Football stadium in Fort Collins.

“It was special to have Coach Lubick speak to us, tonight was special night", stated Senior Brayden Lucero.

Lubick continues to remain active in the community and in Football.   He also enjoys watching his son’s teams, as coaching is in the family.  Sons Marc and Matt have chosen coaching as a profession.  Marc as the Wide Receivers coach of the Denver Broncos and Matt as the Offensive Coordinator for the university of Oregon.

Lubick concluded his talk by signing two footballs.  One was auctioned off to benefit the football program and the other was given as a gift to the CV Football program.
