CV Looking to Rebound During Homecoming Matchup

Castle Rock, CO

CV fell to the hands of the 3-0 Legend Titans on Thursday night at Echo Park Stadium in front of an impressive crowd.  Turnovers proved costly in the first quarter as CV moved the ball effectively on its first two drives, but failed to convert into points.  The Sabercats played tough, but in the end, could not close the gap.  Starting QB Davin Thompson left late in the game with a thumb injury.  His status for this week is unknown.  With two non-conference games left on the schedule, CV will look to improve, while potentially working in some new players in relief for injured starters.

This week, CV will host Fountain-Fort Carson.  Fountain-Fort Carson improved to 1-2 this past weekend with a win over Pine Creek after losses in week 1 and 2 to Pomona and Ralston Valley.

FCC is ranked 15th (5A) in Colorado and averages 183.7 yards per game according to MaxPreps.  The team is coached by Jake Novotny.

Attendance at Douglas County Schools (DCS) Stadium @ The Rock has been strong thus far for the Sabercats and Thursday should be no exception as it is Homecoming for Castle View.  Kick-off for the game is listed to be at 7:30 PM on Thursday.
