CV Will Leave Kansas with Respect...Confidence

Garden City, KS

Castle View may not be leaving Kansas with a win but they are leaving with respect.  The Sabercats battled relentlessly for 4 quarters against a perennial Kansas WAC powerhouse.

The Buffaloes dominated time of possession in the first half with Castle View registering 49 plays on Defense through the first 24 minutes of play.

Holding Garden City to 3 points until 1:49 in the 2nd Quarter, the Buffaloes struck on a long pass to set up a TD two plays later.  The score was 9-0 at half.

In the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Junior Outside Linebacker, Cole Oster picked off a pass and returned it for a Touchdown. After the PAT, the score remained 9-7 until late in the 3rd quarter.

“We know that we can play with anyone now”, stated Junior Nose Tackle, Landon Williams.  CV’s Offense faced a brutally solid GC Defense but moved the ball effectively at times during the night.

Despite the 16-7 loss, the gritty performance likely surprised many of the 4500 fans that were in attendance on Friday night.  The Sabercats will return home with more hunger and confidence than they arrived with.

CV will meet Legend on Friday night at DCS Stadium in Castle Rock.
