CV Football Makes Appeal to Castle Rock Women

Castle Rock, CO

On Friday, over 60 women from Castle Rock gathered at The Grange in The Meadows to learn about the success principles of the CV Football program.  The group was comprised of CV Football Moms, Youth Football Moms, Friends and Families of the program.

CV Gridiron Vice President, Chris Stacy, a former Director of Football Operations for a D-1 College program was the event host and organizer.  "The goal behind the Women’s Clinic was to engage Youth and High School moms,  while having a great time in a fun environment," stated Stacy.  The event featured the CV Football coaching staff and their wives and covered a variety of topics including football terms and strategies, understanding of players equipment and how to prevent football injuries.

Patty Casebier, the wife of Head Coach, Todd Casebier gave a heart warming outlook of what it is like to be a coach’s daughter, coach’s wife, mom of a football player and now a mother to a football coach.

Casebier, an accomplished teacher enters her second year in the Douglas Country School system after a massively successful tenure on the Western slope.  After the event she acknowledged, "such powerful themes surfaced as the event progressed...family, safety and above all, the value and importance that the game of football can play in young men's lives.  Plenty of giggles and laughs while women got to socialize with each other, the coaching staff and their wives.  Women even got the chance to try on football gear and take pics in the photo booth."

Joyce Madonia attended with her daughter, Abby.  "It was nice hearing the coaches talk about plays, equipment and safety.  I also enjoyed hearing the personal story of Coach Casebier and his wife."

The women in attendance had a great time and even though there was a wide spectrum of football aptitude in the audience; everyone walked away with additional knowledge  and had access to ask questions to the coaching staff in a safe environment.

Stacy concluded with the following statement, "tradition has always been to cater to towards the players and their dads when it comes to football activities.  At Castle View we understand the importance that a mother plays in the journey of a Youth or High School Football Player.  The CV Football Women’s Clinic is a fun event that is laser focused on the ladies who play a vital role in the success of our football team and their sons."
