Unstoppable Perseverance

Castle Rock, CO

Everyone always knew that Castle View's Jaylen Jackson would be playing at the next level.  On Tuesday, he made it official as he signed his letter of intent to play for Adam's State University in Alamosa, CO.  "I loved the way the coaching staff communicated with me about the program and I really liked the facilities and the entire football atmosphere", stated the enthusiastic Senior on signing day.

Jaylen's mom, Ronica acknowledged, "I am very pleased with Jaylen's decision. We would have supported him no matter what his choice would have been. It will be great to have him close to home and Adams State is a great school".

Jackson was a mighty leader for the Sabercats over the past several years and played both quarterback and running back.  Jackson's father Ellory stated, "on the football field he's very tough at running between the tackles. He has speed and breaks tackles. He has great hands and can catch almost anything and has great awareness. He's a leader. Off the field he's a great son, brother, and pretty smart kid. Great all around."

Jackson, a Senior who will be graduating in the Spring is also excited about Alamosa, citing that he will be able to do some of the other things he loves to do, including fishing near the campus.

One of Jackson's greatest memories as his time with the Sabercats was scrambling out of the pocket against DC and "watching Morgan just absolutely destroy one of their corners."

Jaylen Jackson was an electrifying player at the High School level and his presence will be missed, but will certainly excel at the next level of play.  When asked what advice he might lend to other players looking to advance their football careers, he confidently advised, "no matter what obstacle comes in front of you, find a way to persevere and overcome. Then nothing can stop you."
