Castle View High School is pleased to announce Todd Casebier as the new head football coach for the 2018 season. One of the winningest coaches in the state, Casebier brings with him a strong reputation for working with previously struggling programs and he is excited to provide a competitive football experience for countless Castle View students, both present and future.

Coach Casebier has a storied history as the head coach of three programs on Colorado’s western slope. After winning a 3A state title at Palisade High School in 2003, Casebier spent 10 years leading Montrose High School to a 4A record of 87-30. His tenure as the head coach at Montrose also included seven league titles and an appearance in the 2014 4A state championship game. Casebier most recently served as the head coach at Fruita Monument High School, where he led the program to its first 5A playoff victory and two additional 4A playoff appearances in three years.

In 20 seasons as a head coach, Coach Casebier touts an overall record is 175-60 with 18 playoff appearances, 11 league titles, and 12 “Coach of the Year” awards.

Casebier will face a familiar challenge as he leads the Sabercats, but notes his enthusiasm for the foundation laid in the program prior to his arrival. Casebier explains, “I really believe Castle View has some of the qualities in place to be vastly improved next year.  Coach Pfeiffer and his staff put some good things in place.  The defense was solid and I like the way the offensive line played. Improving as a team is going to take more effort, preparation, a great coaching staff and supportive parents. It’s a team effort in every way.”

He adds, “I think we have an outstanding Principal in Rex Corr and Athletic Director in Derek Cordes.  I need to hire a quality staff and meet the team and parents. I have a plan in place that has worked for me and know we can do great things with this school, community, and administration.”
