CV Launches Revamped Youth Camp

Castle Rock, CO

On April 13th, Castle View High School Head Football Coach, Todd Casebier met with area youth coaches to share ideas, schemes and best practices.

The first year Castle View (CV) head coach who has enjoyed great success with three other Colorado high school football programs states, “it’s all about the community and making sure that we are serving the needs of the entire town."  The coaching clinic, held at the Grange in April, was free and open to any youth coach, regardless of affiliation and was sponsored by the Castle View Gridiron Club.

“As part of our charter, we are working to create community offerings and serve all of the kids and coaches in town,” acknowledged Eric Plummer, the Communications Director for the Gridiron Club.

Butch Bradley, who is a member of the CV football staff, has been tasked to work with area youth football league organizers to understand their specific needs and develop a camp based upon their recommendations.

“In 2018 we are proud to announce that we will be offering a camp for the important group that is so often forgotten: linemen," stated Coach Bradley.  He continued, “we will have a four day camp that focuses and celebrates the warriors who fight in the trenches.”

Casebier specified, “I want Castle Rock to know that it is vital for our area high schools to be adding value to the community. Our strategy this year is to make sure that we are filling a gap, as determined by the dozens of youth coaches my staff and I have talked to.  While we plan to expand our youth camp offerings in the future, the feedback has been very clear that a linemen camp is critical this year, and we are pleased to offer it."

Coach Casebier enters his 21st season as a head coach and his first at Castle View High School.  He led the Fruita-Monument program to a perfect 10-0 season last year, has won a state title and brought two other teams all the way to the championship game.

Casebier continued, “winning programs are built upon excellent line-play.  Through the years, our best teams had the best linemen performance, period.  We want to help build a foundation of great line-play to help players, coaches and teams throughout the entire town of Castle Rock."
